Veterans
Services

The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments staffs the Benton County Veterans Service Office. The Service Officer is accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a requirement for everyone who assists Veterans in applying for Veterans Affairs (VA) claims and benefits. All services by the Benton County Veterans Service Office are free. Services can include:

  • Identify potential claims and entitlements;
  • Assist in completing necessary applications;
  • Provide guidance to clients to obtain supporting documents/materials; and
  • Provide presentations and trainings, as requested for groups and other agencies.

Mission

The Benton County Veterans Service Office ensures that each veteran receives the maximum VA benefits (compensation, pension, and other entitlements) to which they may be entitled. Staff and Service Officers are advocates for Benton County Veterans and dependent claims. Making a difference in Veterans lives is our program’s most important focus.
